IAN "THE JOOPSTER"

 

Ian is the band's lead singer and bass man.

For as long as he can remember Ian has loved the styles and music of the fifties.

 

In the early 80's Ian relocated from East London to Sweden where he toured Scandinavia and parts of Northern Eurpoe with several rockabilly bands including The Thunderbolts, Reckless and The Master Cats.

Ian has also had the pleasure of playing bass for Sleepy La Beef, Dale Hawkins

Hayden Tompson and many more original rockabilly artists from 1950's.

 

He spent a year playing and performing in the hit musical "The Buddy Holly Story"

 

Ian is an accomlished singer with a voice and range to complement the wildest rock n' roll song to the softest ballads as well as a skilled double bass player specialising in the technigue of rockabilly "slap" bass.

GÖRAN "THE HAMMER"

 

Born in Sweden, Göran has played guitar from the tender age of 6 and piano at 10.

He's a real old school rok n'roller hammering out boogie woogie and rock n' roll on the piano keys, hence the nickname "The Hammer". He is also a rock solid lead guitarist and sings lead and backing vocals.

 

Göran has played with several dance bands touring both Sweden and Northern Europe including The Thunderlines who played at the famous star club in Hamburg during the early sixties.

 

Influences: Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis, The Spotnicks, The Shadows and Beethoven.

DAVE "THE ANIMAL"

 

Dave the bands drummer had once been discribed by the Melody Maker as having "power packed hands and feet".

 

Originally from London, has played in rock venues throughout the UK and abroad. Now a resident of Cyprus is enjoying the "Cyprus" music scene.

He brings years of experience to the band having played with a whole host of musicians covering a veriety of musical genres.

He collaborated with Bronski Beat, Suzi Quatro and other notable musicians under the name of "The County Line" on a BBC Children In Need record called "Heroes".
